twisting trajectories

My project generated in a joint studio between the graduate Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Planning programs at the University of Southern California; in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism (FADU) at the University of Buenos Aires.

The final design replicates riparian forms and processes within a series of large traffic islands near the city's southern border, in a district devoid of accessible open space and limited natural resource value.

The Riachuelo-Mataza watershed was examined at regional and local scales. It was also compared with other urban watersheds from around the globe which are currently undergoing restoration and rehabilitation.
